  • Do my subcontractors need to utilise the driver application?
    The subcontractor can have their drivers either utilise the mobile application or receive their job information via email or SMS. Should the subcontractor not utilise the Allotrac mobile application, they can upload their job information after the fact via their subcontractor portal.
  • Is Allotrac plug and play?
    Yes, Allotrac's software is off the shelf and is configured during the onboarding process by one of our dedicated team of experts.
  • What are the benefits of using Allotrac?
    Allotrac integrates with key business systems to eliminate paperwork and reduce unnecessary data entry, saving you hours in administrative costs. Our software gives you complete control over your entire transport operation with real-time access to job and vehicle information. This allows you to consistently meet customer and organisational requirements while simultaneously maximising your operational efficiency.
  • Does Allotrac have a free trial?
    Allotrac does not offer a free trial due to the complexity of the setup and the personalised training involved. Allotrac does, however, offer a customised demonstration that is free of charge.
  • What is Allotrac?
    Allotrac is a cloud-based transport management system that provides end-to-end visibility for businesses in the transport and logistics industry. Allotrac integrates seamlessly with key business systems to automate workflows and transform your business into a paperless environment from order to invoice.
  • Is my business too small? How many trucks do I need to run Allotrac?
    Allotrac is designed to allocate to more than one vehicle. Ideally, Allotrac works best for fleets with (3) three vehicles or more.
  • Is Allotrac a freight forwarder?
    No, Allotrac does not integrate with freight forwarding services.
  • What differentiates Allotrac from other telematics providers?
    Unlike traditional telematics providers, Allotrac provides access to information about the job and vehicle. In particular, Allotrac specialises in workflow automation of your transport operation and the execution of the scheduling, allocation, and dispatch. The only data that Allotrac will not provide you with is that of the engine.
  • How does Allotrac work?
    Allotrac requires you to have control over your entire transport operation. This means you will either need to allocate to your vehicles or drivers; or have your subcontractors utilise Allotrac.
  • Do I need an Allocator to use Allotrac?
    Yes, you will need an allocator or dispatcher to utilise Allotrac.
  • Does Allotrac have a freight brokerage model?
    No, Allotrac does not offer a freight brokerage model. You can, however, specify the subcontractor rate per job when you outsource the loads.
  • How can I allocate to subcontractors using Allotrac?
    You can either allocate directly to the subcontractors or you can allocate to the subcontracting company which can then allocate to their vehicles and drivers.
  • Is Allotrac cloud-based or can I run it off a local server?
    Allotrac is a cloud-native company and can not be run on-premise.
  • What web browser does Allotrac recommend to use?
    Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
  • How can I download Allotrac on my smartphone or tablet device?

  • What other applications do I need to download to run Allotrac on my smartphone or tablet device?
    You will need to download TeamSupport QuickSupport on the driver's smartphone or tablet devices. This will enable our support team to log in remotely and assist the drivers should they experience an issue.
  • What is Allotrac's approach to integration?
    Allotrac has an agile approach with the opportunity to streamline integrations through APIs.
  • What is Allotrac's approach to development?
    Allotrac will only consider the new development piece should the new feature request enhance the overall product. Any new feature development requests are scoped and added to the platform as a configurable option to be enabled or disabled.
  • How long does it take Allotrac to train my drivers?
    Driver training takes approximately (20) twenty minutes. Ideally, the training is delivered in groups of (5) five drivers with (1) one trainer.
  • Does Allotrac provide training?
    We offer both on-site training and remote training. We generally recommend (2) two days for the (1) one site, however, the sessions and the number of days will be defined in the Scope of Work.
  • What is Allotrac's approach to training?
    Allotrac has a structured training plan that is designed and delivered for specific user groups. i.e. administration, allocators, drivers, finance etc.
  • Does Allotrac offer a staged implementation?
    Yes, Allotrac may also include a staged implementation where there are new features or integrations to be deployed at a later date. It may also be deployed when there are multiple locations or sites involved.
  • How long will it take me to implement Allotrac?
    Allotrac has (2) two types of implementations. A standard implementation will take approximately 6-8 weeks. A non-standard implementation will not be known until the completion of a Scope of Work by our Solutions Team.
  • What does Allotrac need from me to complete the setup?
    Allotrac forwards a standardised template for the master data to be entered, i.e. users, drivers, vehicles, trailers, and subcontractors. Allotrac will specify any further documentation or access during the sales and onboarding process.
  • What is non-standard implementation with Allotrac?
    A non-standard implementation requires either new feature development requests or new integration requests. Our Solutions Team will provide a timeline associated with the new development task or new integration task.
  • Does Allotrac train my employees and drivers?
    Yes. All Allotrac training sessions are delivered by a dedicated Allotrac expert.
  • What is a standard implementation with Allotrac?
    A standard implementation requires no new feature developments and no new integration requests.
  • How is Allotrac set up?
    Allotrac has a dedicated onboarding team that tailors the configuration of your cloud-based instance based on your business needs.
  • Can you make phone calls via the Allotrac applications?
    No, you will need to purchase a SIM and data plan from your telecommunications provider. You can, however, send drivers push notifications to their mobile application.
  • How much data would a driver use per month with Allotrac?
    On average, drivers will need 2GB of data a month to use the Allotrac driver application.
  • What other applications do I need to download to run Allotrac on my smartphone or tablet device?
    You will need to download TeamViewer QuickSupport on the driver's smartphone or tablet devices. This will enable our support team to log in remotely and assist the drivers should they experience an issue.
  • What devices are compatible with Allotrac?
    Android. Full compatibility. iOS. Partial compatibility. Allotrac is an Android-native application that is unable to track the vehicle or record driver rest hours.
  • Does Allotrac provide hardware for my drivers?
    Allotrac has a bring your own device model and does not supply hardware. We do, however, recommend suppliers and devices.
  • What devices does Allotrac recommend for my drivers?
    We recommend Samsung smartphones or tablet devices. The minimum Android device requirements are: Android 5.0 and above Minimum of 4G LTE Camera with autofocus Location-based (high accuracy) GPS Bluetooth LE (4.0) Here is a list of the latest devices that we recommend: Smartphones. A13 Tablets. Galaxy Tab A7 LTE 4G
  • Do I need to set up my own devices?
    Yes, you will need to set up your own devices before the implementation of Allotrac.
  • Do I need to install hardware in my office to run Allotrac?
    Allotrac requires no on-site equipment or infrastructure to be installed.
  • How do I download Allotrac on my smartphone or tablet device?

  • How can I get a Scope of Work from Allotrac?
    Allotrac requires you to sign a Proposal as an intent to partner with Allotrac as the selected software vendor.
  • What is a non-standard Allotrac integration?
    A non-standard integration would involve a new integration request.
  • What is a standard Allotrac integration?
    Standard integration with MYOB AccountRight Online, MYOB Business Essentials, MYOB EXO, and Xero. Intuit QuickBooks integration is CSV only.
  • What is Allotrac's approach to integration?
    Allotrac has an agile approach with the opportunity to streamline integrations through APIs.
  • Can I integrate my ERP, POS, WMS and CRM with Allotrac?
    Yes, however, the Solutions Team will determine whether the integration is possible post the Scope of Work.
  • Does Allotrac have a Zapier?
    Yes, however, it is private and available for clients upon request.
  • Does Allotrac have an API?
    Yes, Allotrac does have an API. Allotrac's primary integration method is to use a REST API on the instance.
  • How does Allotrac handle outgoing data?
    For outgoing data, Allotrac has event-based JSON webhooks that are provided to an HTTP endpoint. Streaming webhooks are available and can be triggered on all activities such as job creation, jobs in progress, driver activity and more. JSON webhooks can be sent to a custom endpoint for streaming into a data lake.
  • Does Allotrac have any API documentation?
    Yes, Allotrac has a Swagger UI that is available for clients upon request.
  • How does Allotrac handle incoming data?
    For incoming data, Allotrac uses an oAuth2 REST API.
  • Does the API require authentication?
    The Allotrac API requires token-based authentication for every request.
  • What is the Allotrac API used for?
    The API allows for the full creation of all the data required for the jobs programmatically.
  • What is Allotrac's privacy policy?
    Allotrac hosts in Amazon Web Services and adheres to the Shared Responsibility Model.
  • Where does Allotrac host our data?
    We deploy across multiple hosts and locations for redundancy and disaster recovery. Our primary servers are located in "ap-southeast-2" aka Sydney. Inside the "ap-southeast-2" region there are (3) three Availability Zones and Allotrac is in (2) two of the Availability Zones. Should one of those Availability Zones fails, Allotrac will fall over into the other Availability Zone.
  • Who does Allotrac host my data with?
    Our applications and database services are deployed to Amazon Web Services.
  • How does Allotrac host my data?
    Amazon Web Services secured data stores are used for the file storage of proof of pickup and proof of delivery images. Customer application deployments are separated by individual containers and databases.
  • What is Allotrac's pricing model?
    Allotrac has a one-off set-up cost and then a monthly subscription cost that is based on a vehicle license.
  • What types of licenses does Allotrac have?
    Our standard license type is a vehicle license that is charged per month. We also offer licenses such as a per-day rate, a per-job rate, a movement rate, as well as a tonnage rate.
  • Does Allotrac charge for training?
    Yes, Allotrac has a different rate for remote training compared to on-site training.
  • How much does Allotrac cost?
    Allotrac does not have a standard pricing model. It depends on several factors such as your use case. Allotrac has several commercial models that we can employ depending on how you utilise your transport.
  • Does Allotrac have any setup costs?
    Yes, Allotrac has a one-off setup cost for the configuration of your cloud-based instance that includes standard integrations.
  • Does Allotrac have maintenance costs?
    No, the maintenance costs are inclusive of your monthly subscription for the term of your Customer Agreement.
  • Are there user costs with Allotrac?
    No, you can have as many users as you wish. This includes but is not limited to administration staff, customer portal access as well as subcontractor portal access.
  • Does Allotrac charge for support?
    There are no additional costs for support. Support for your drivers and administration staff is inclusive of your monthly subscription for the term of your Customer Agreement.
  • Does Allotrac have additional module costs?
    No, there are no module costs with Allotrac.
  • Do Allotrac pro-rata invoices?
    Yes, Allotrac will pro-rata the monthly recurring subscription date from the initial implementation date.
  • Is Allotrac subscription based?
    Yes, Allotrac is subscription based.
  • How often will Allotrac bill me?
    Allotrac bills monthly on the first calendar date of each month.
  • What are Allotrac's payment terms?
    Allotrac's standard payment terms are (7) seven days from the upfront invoice date.
  • What other applications do I need to install for Allotrac to support my employees?
    You will need to download TeamViewer on your employee's desktops or laptops. This will enable our support team to log in remotely and assist your employees should they experience an issue.
  • What other applications do I need to download to run Allotrac on my smartphone or tablet device?
    You will need to download TeamViewer QuickSupport on the driver's smartphone or tablet devices. This will enable our support team to log in remotely and assist the drivers should they experience an issue.
  • What kind of support does Allotrac offer?
    We offer Australian-based phone, email, and live chat support for our customers, in conjunction with our Service Level Agreements from 5 am-8 pm (AEST).
  • Does Allotrac offer further training post-implementation?
    Yes, Allotrac can provide further training should it be requested. This, however, will involve an additional one-off cost to the business.
